A london Borough is currently looking for a Customer & Contractor Relations Officer on a temporary basis.
Key responsibilities
To assist the Head and Assistant Head of Street Scene Department to manage complaints and systems.
To provide administrative support to the Street Scene Department, dealing with written queries and monitoring of complaints.
To provide word processing and database support to the Street Scene Department, typing letters, reports, memos, and producing spreadsheets and other information related to street scene activities.
To manage customer queries and complaints within Street Scene Operations, keeping computer and paper-based systems up-to-date and liasing with waste and street scene contractor to resolve issues.
Resolve complaints from stakeholders in the borough received in various forms including via telephone, letter, contact centre, email, memo and councillor members express. Drafting responses for the Assistant Head and Head of Street Scene.
Make site visits to properties where necessary to resolve continuous waste or street scene issues.
Take notes at various meetings, including fortnightly Street Scene and Refuse meetings and circulate minutes as requested. Prepare and raise any issues concerning complaints at these meetings.
Take payment orders from the public for refuse containers and schedule delivery for these.
Assist in any Waste and Street Scene projects when necessary.
To process invoices in accordance with Council procedures
Essential requirements
Must have worked in a complaints based environment for a council preferably
Excellent communications and written skills
Immediately available or on short notice
