Highly regarded building services company in the Social Housing sector requires an Estimator join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

To carry out the tendering function of the operating unit, to carry out all surveys preparing detailed reports to enable accurate costs to be obtained.
To work along side the administration functions through to the completion of the works.
Ensure that all technical evaluations and procedures are being undertaken in total compliance with Company operating instructions and in a timely and accurate manner to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the branch.
Ensure all resident & client issues reported are communicated to the site and customer care teams in a timely manner.
The job role will require work to be undertaken for other members of the branch team and from time to time to Group Tendering team.
To ensure the tender meets all operation requirements in terms of costs and profit, to ensure margin's are fully understood and that all costs are accounted for.
To also liaise with the Group Tendering team to ensure a company wide tender process is adopted.
To support on occasion the company in any tenders as required by the tendering team , you may required to attend suppliers to carry out quality audits to ensure full compliance of the services provided
To work with the Contract Manager to address admin issues relating to turn over and profit.
To undertake any other duties as required by the Company from time to time which may include duties of a greater level of responsibility or skill that those required in the post.

Skills:

The successful candidate
Educated to GSCE (or equivalent) level in English and Math's
Experienced in administration of programmed works
Experience of working with computerized systems, including data entry and calculations.
A minimum working knowledge of tender preparation of 5 years
Excellent proven record of working in construction within social housing projects.
Knowledge of the filing and retrieval operations of numerical filing systems
Experience of working to deadlines in a busy office environment
Use of general office equipment
