Leading private company assisting the social housing sector requires an Accounts Assistant to assist in all aspects of the Sales & Purchase Ledger administration, ensuring that all tenant, landlord and contractor accounts are fully maintained.

Responsibilities:

Provide credit control on invoices.
Banking of cash and cheque receipts on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Daily allocation of receipts to appropriate accounts
Weekly and monthly invoicing of Local Authorities for landlord rents
Accurate and timely processing and matching of contractor invoices to completed works orders
Preparation and payment to contractors, landlords and local authorities in line with agreed timescales
Daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and reconciliation of main ledgers
Preparation and mailing of monthly statements to landlords
Undertake general administration for the department such as filing, updating records and any other tasks required for the smooth running of the client accounts function

The successful candidate will be appointed subject to a clean Enhanced Disclosure Scotland/CRB check
Previous experience within the Housing sector would be desirable.
