A regulatory body based in Central London is currently looking for a number of Certification Assistants to contribute to the achievement of the company’s certification section

Key responsibilities are as follows

To support the central service of opening post, scanning and classification in support of the Certification team
To support Certification Officers in the administrative tasks, such as logging applicant information, seeking structured reports, filing etc.
Log new applications on the in-house Electronic Data Records Management System (EDRMS) and produce acknowledgement letters from the database, within agreed performance targets, prioritising applications as appropriate during peak periods
To be responsible for the following tasks in relation to certificates:
a. producing equivalence certificates and covering letters
b. sending out equivalence decisions once signed
c. sending out CCTs
d. ensuring the EDRMS is appropriately updated and records maintained
e. ensuring Colleges receive copies of all equivalence decision
To be responsible for the approving and uploading of applicants documents submitted via the online application process and liaising with applicants as required
Respond to telephone enquiries regarding Certification matters, including progress on individual applications, queries and complaints escalating issues as appropriate
On a rota with the other Certification Assistants respond to enquiries directed to the generic email inboxes for CCT, CESR, and CEGPR within agreed timescales and to agreed standards
Ensure appropriate records are kept of all communication with applicants
To contribute to the directorate work on business improvement, through participating in workshops to identify areas for improvement in the processes and procedures.
To adhere to the information security policy and data protection requirements at all times and to undertake regular clear desk testing.

The interviews will take place in an assessment centre, where you will be involved in group exercises, a written test and ability test as well as an interview and this will be taking place on the 17th and 18th of May only. If you are successful the second stage will take place on the 20 or 21st of May only

Essential Requirements

Must have a solid administrative background, ideally gained in a regulatory, government or not for profit environment and a background processing applications and document checking
To have an understanding of the Data Protection Act would be advantageous
Effective use of IT systems. Word, Excel.
Have good telephone skills
Must be able to commit to a first stage interview on the 17/18th of May and if successful able to second interview on the 20/21st of May
